What services do we offer?

The Laboratory Animal Core Facility at the Department of Biomedicine is the largest rodent facility at the Faculty of Health, Aarhus University. The facility consists of a closed breeding barrier for the production and breeding of genetically modified mice, and a standard barrier for housing and breeding both mice and rats. The standard barrier facility is open for researchers conducting studies and experiments.

The Animal Facility contributes to both basic and preclinical biomedical research, education in laboratory animal science and offer highly specialized facilities and services.

Reduced staff services between 25/03/2024 and 02/04/2024 due to Easter

It will not be possible to receive new animals during week 13 and staff availability will be limited. Please plan your research and animal experiments accordingly.
